Agreement to these terms
Welcome to MyTasbih. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and MyTasbih ("MyTasbih", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the mytasbih.com website, our Progressive Web App, and all related features and services (together, the "Service").
Who can use MyTasbih
You may use the free counter without an account. To create an account or subscribe, you must be able to form a binding contract under the laws of your country and be at least the age of digital consent where you live (for example, 13 in the United States or 16 in parts of the EEA). If you use the Service on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
Your account
Creating an account is optional and unlocks features such as cloud sync, your dashboard, and MyTasbih Pro. When you register:
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date;
- You must verify your email address — unverified accounts cannot sign in;
- You are responsible for keeping your password and account secure, and for all activity under your account;
- You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
You can sign in with an email and password or with a supported social sign-in such as Google. You may update or delete your account at any time from your account settings.
Acceptable use
MyTasbih is built to help you in your worship, and we ask that you use it respectfully. You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights while using the Service;
- Attempt to access, disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service, its servers, or its security or rate-limiting systems;
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to abuse the Service or our APIs;
- Share, resell, or provide unauthorized access to a Pro subscription;
- Upload or create content that is unlawful, hateful, deceptive, or offensive, or that misrepresents Islamic teachings in a harmful way;
- Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Service.
MyTasbih Pro subscriptions
MyTasbih Pro is our optional paid tier. We currently offer the following plans:
| Plan | Price | Billing |
|---|---|---|
| Annual | $19.99 / year | Recurring yearly until cancelled |
| Monthly | $2.99 / month | Recurring monthly until cancelled |
| Lifetime | $39.99 one-time | Single payment, no renewal |
Prices are shown in US dollars and may not include taxes, which are added where required. We may change our prices and plans in the future; changes will not affect the current term you have already paid for.
Automatic renewal
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period using your chosen payment method, at the then-current price for your plan, unless you cancel before the renewal date. The lifetime plan is a single payment and does not renew.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe and, where offered, PayPal. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment providers to charge your payment method for the applicable fees, including renewals. You are responsible for keeping your payment details valid; failed payments may lead to suspension or cancellation of Pro access.
Free trial
We may offer a free trial of MyTasbih Pro. A trial gives you temporary access to Pro features and is available only to eligible accounts (for example, accounts that have not previously held a paid plan). We may change or withdraw trial offers at any time. When a trial ends, Pro features stop unless you subscribe.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time from your account's subscription page. When you cancel, your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it will not renew after that.
Your content
You may create content within MyTasbih, such as custom dhikr, goals, and preferences ("Your Content"). You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to operate the Service for you (for example, to sync it to your devices and show it in your dashboard).
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to use it. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, and original compilations of religious content, is owned by MyTasbih or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own lawful, personal use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly permitted.
Qur'anic verses, hadith, and traditional adhkar are part of the shared heritage of the Ummah; our presentation, translation choices, layout, and compilation of them are ours.
Religious and informational content
MyTasbih provides adhkar, duas, daily verses and hadith, prayer times, Qibla direction, and an Islamic calendar for your convenience and encouragement. This content is provided for general informational and educational purposes and is not a substitute for guidance from qualified scholars. Please read our Disclaimer for important details about accuracy and religious content.
Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep MyTasbih available and reliable, and the app is designed to keep working offline for the core counter. However, we provide the Service "as is" and "as available." We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we do not guarantee that the Service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data synced to the cloud can never be lost. We recommend keeping your own record of anything important to you.
Third-party services
The Service integrates third-party services such as payment processors, sign-in providers, and the Aladhan prayer-times API. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that religious content, prayer times, or calculations are error-free or suitable for every situation. See the Disclaimer for more.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MyTasbih and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or a nominal amount permitted by law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including your statutory consumer rights.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold MyTasbih harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights, to the extent permitted by law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. If we terminate your account for a reason other than your breach while you hold a paid subscription, we will provide any refund required by applicable law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the place where MyTasbih operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you additional protections that cannot be waived.
We would much rather resolve any concern amicably. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled by the competent courts of the jurisdiction in which MyTasbih operates, subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring proceedings locally.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
