Cookies and local storage explained
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between visits (for example, that you are signed in). Local storage is a related browser technology that lets a site keep data on your device. MyTasbih relies heavily on local storage: the free counter keeps your counts, streaks, and preferences there so it works instantly and offline, without ever sending them to us.
What we use, and why

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies that track you across other websites.
Third-party cookies
A few trusted third parties may set their own cookies when you use specific features:
- Stripe and PayPal — during checkout, to process your payment securely and help prevent fraud.
- Google / social sign-in — if you choose to sign in with a social provider, that provider may set cookies as part of authenticating you.
- Hosting and security (Cloudflare) — our infrastructure may set essential cookies to route traffic and protect the site.
These cookies are governed by the third party's own privacy and cookie policies.
Managing cookies
Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off, because the app would not work without them.
You can also control cookies and local storage through your browser settings — most browsers let you view, block, or delete them. Clearing your browser storage will also remove any dhikr data the free counter has saved on your device, so export or sync anything important first.
Do Not Track
Because we do not track you across other websites, there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" browser signal to disable. We simply do not build that kind of profile in the first place.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the app or the law changes. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do.
